Season five had just ended and immediately next day fans had
lined up heavy eyed, in front of internet to know about the fate of our
dearly beloved (Late?) bastard of Winterfell.
In a series having a bulk of grey shade characters, perhaps Jon
Snow was the only hero in the traditional sense. His will to do the
right, to do what his father would have done; the most honorable thing always
came against his desires, and also led to his ultimate downfall (?)...
But he always overlooked them, as his father did and followed that path which was best for all.
But he always overlooked them, as his father did and followed that path which was best for all.
He chose to remain as the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch,
when presented with the opportunity to become Lord of North; only because it
was the most honorable thing to do.
Naturally, all the ladies from different parts of the real world fell head over heels in love with him, and all the wannabe knights admired him.
So it came as most shocking (despite all the book spoilers), that
he was put to death by the members of his night's watch, led by the new evil
child of Westeros after the boy king Justin Bieber.
Viewers and fans of the series still sigh, remembering the final
looks of disbelief and shock upon that handsome British face. But midway
the production of Season six news broke out that Kit Harrington, aka “Jon”
has been spotted filming a massive battle scene has created euphoria among
the book readers & TV series viewers alike.
Well, if truth be said, it was a no shocker considering how
important Jon's arc had been important to the series, holding the whole "beyond
the wall plot line" all by himself. Death of fan favorite characters has not
been new to this series (Take Papa Stark, Mum Stark, and the other
handsome stark for example). But this death differed from others.
His death seemed confusing, as it came at a time when he was
being projected as the only one capable enough to save the world from the
fiery winter. With a Valyrian sword in his hands, he certainly looked the
legendary Azor-Ahai to many fans. I too believed that and so the death looked
all the more shocking.
But what if death was the passage for his revival, as that
legendary knight which has been talked about from Asshai in the Far East, to
the conference halls of the white walkers.
And there also comes the plot of him being possibly the son of *spoilers*
& *spoilers*, and all the R+L=J and Blah...Blah...Blah..., which has been
considered canon by the book readers for more than a decade.
The arc story line of Jon Snow may vary from Novels to the TV Series,
but one thing can't be argued- "him returning to the Game of Thrones is inevitable".
But this time he would be returning with a vengeance, and the killer smile to
swoon over the ladies of Planet Earth once more.
And before signing off, these are some of the pictures which confirm the northern
battle story line and his involvement in it.
So what do you say? What will happen to his story line, when he returns to play the game?
